Coretura and Accenture join forces to reinvent the development of software-defined commercial vehicles

Engineering collaboration brings together deep automotive expertise and the ambition to provide one software platform, language and standard for trucks, buses and other transport vehicles, built to evolve continuously across the 15+ year vehicle lifecycle

Coretura, the software-defined vehicle (SDV) platform company founded by Daimler Truck and Volvo Group, has signed an engineering agreement with Accenture (NYSE: ACN) to accelerate the development of its software platform for trucks, buses and other medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. The collaboration supports Coretura’s current roadmap to deliver first commercialized products toward the end of the decade.

As Coretura’s engineering partner, Accenture brings SDV and broader automotive engineering capabilities, including strengths in electrical and electronic (E/E) architecture and software abstraction, as well as proven experience from the commercial and passenger car industry. Combined with Coretura’s platform vision, these capabilities will enable fast, seamless innovation for the entire commercial vehicle industry.

When Daimler Truck and Volvo Group, two world leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, chose to build a joint software foundation, they made a structural bet on openness and collaboration – that the future of commercial vehicles matters more than competition. This future is built on vehicles that are no longer defined by hardware alone, but increasingly by software. Important functions that used to rely on many separate built-in electronic control units are increasingly managed by a central software system.

Today, manufacturers buy and integrate software, but each new project starts from zero rather than building on a shared platform. Coretura was founded to bring platform thinking to the industry and address this cycle directly. To accelerate the development of the platform, Coretura has commissioned Accenture as its engineering partner. Building AI capability through collaboration: Coretura, Hubbau, and TokenTek rethink how AI competence is developed

As demand for AI capability accelerates, organizations are discovering that building long-term competence is harder than launching pilots or running isolated initiatives. This challenge is the starting point for an AI Specialist Graduate Program currently running at Coretura, developed jointly with Hubbau and TokenTek. The program, which started in early February, combines long-term talent development with continuously updated applied AI expertise — embedded directly in a real production environment.

Participants are employed by Hubbau and embedded full-time within Coretura’s teams, following a structured specialist track that ensures continuity, retention, and long-term development rather than short-term delivery.

As a specialist company working continuously with the latest generative AI and agent systems in production, TokenTek ensures that what is taught in the program reflects current engineering practices, real constraints, and how AI solutions are actually built, operated, and evolved today — not static curricula or theoretical models.

The program deliberately sits outside traditional categories. It is not a short-term consulting engagement, and it is not a classroom-based training initiative. Coretura partners with Hubbau and TokenTek to launch AI specialist graduate program

Coretura, the software joint venture created by Volvo Group and Daimler Trucks, today announces the launch of its AI Specialist Program, a 12-month initiative designed to accelerate the development of early-career software engineers with advanced AI capabilities.

Developed in partnership with Hubbau and TokenTek, the program aims to build one of the industry’s strongest pipelines of AI-ready engineering talent as commercial vehicles rapidly transition toward software-defined architectures.

The program begins February 3rd, 2026 at Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg. Participants will be employed by Hubbau and work full-time as consultants at Coretura. Upon completion, the ambition is for participants to continue their careers with Coretura.

Preparing engineers for the software-defined vehicle era

A full year of hands-on training in applied AI

During the 12-month journey, participants receive specialized training from TokenTek; moving from AI fundamentals to advanced practical applications including generative models, agent systems, data pipelines, and multimodal architectures.

The program is targeted at recent graduates with strong programming skills in C++ or Python, an interest in Rust, and experience from AI-related academic or personal projects.
